Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處美勞教學碩士班 === 96 === The fifth and sixth grade students at elementary schools have developed their aesthetic sensitivities and have reached the critical stage where they are able to integrate the aesthetic knowledge and formative ability in art classroom which provide the base for art appreciation instruction. The aims of this research were to explore the relationships between students’ artistic conceptual knowledge and the aesthetic capability of analyzing the forms in visual art appreciation based on the students’ different backgrounds. Two survey questionnaires were developed in this research based on the review of literature. The “Artistic Conceptual Knowledge” and “Aesthetic Capability of Analyzing the Forms in Visual Art Appreciation” questionnaires were used as the main tools. By using purposive sampling” method, six elementary schools within Tao-yuan County were chosed and two classes were randomly picked from the 5th and 6th grade respectively as the sample from those six schools. The total number of the sample was 355 students. SPSS12.0 was used as statisitical tool to analyize the data by running the descriptive statistic, variable analysis, T-test, Scheffe and other methods to manage and analyze the data. Finding and conclusions from this research was presented as follow: 1. For the senior graders, the artistic conceptual knowledge” was influenced by grade, gender, family and social status, difference between rural and urban areas, their works being displayed in school or not, attending art tutoring courses or not, and the frequency of attending art tutoring courses. 2. The “Aesthetic Capability of Analyzing the Forms in Visual Art Appreciation” was influenced by gender, family and social status, and difference between rural and urban areas. 3. There relationships between “Artistic Conceptual Knowledge” and “Aesthetic Capability of Analyzing the Forms in Visual Art Appreciation” are positive. This research also found that students who have knowledge on simple media materials, skills and artistic terms tend to perform better in analyzing the aesthetic forms. Those who perform better in artistic conceptual knowledge also have better aesthetic analytical capabilities in linear forms, space structure and quality category, compared to other students. The environment definitely has a huge impact on the forming of their aesthetic ability. The artistic knowledge, that the students possess, will be transferred into “Aesthetic Capability of Analyzing the Forms in Visual Art Appreciation” only through the appropriate environment and enough time given.
