碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處美勞教學碩士班 === 96 === Abstract Artwork is a physical performance of individual inner world. It helps the artist to understand the world and self. While facing multiple roles in a society, they ponder life meanings; recollect the life journey and creative experiences and the significance of marriage to themselves. Between work and family, they try to obtain the balance. This inner soul has often become the subject investigated by artworks. This study focuses primarily on the self image exploration with three purposes: (1) by way of women thinking, it explores their inner soul; (2) by way of artistic creation, it expresses female life experiences; (3) through artworks, it reflects the phenomenon and observation of family and society.This study uses historical research, literature research and quality thinking method to analyze four aspects of “new women awareness”, “family meaning to women”, “the exploration of sub-consciousness” and “symbolic performance”. It helps to understand oneself and create an artwork. Their artworks attempt diversified space expression and also make a breakthrough in the existing spatial structure to convey spiritual space. They use line and color to communicate inner thinking. They apply new approaches of materials to voice out the inner observation, senses and concern for life. It, furthermore, analyzes and explains the content and expression style to establish personal creative vocabularies.This discussion investigates the thinking of female inner souls and communicates their life experiences. Through artworks, we observe the inner world and realize the significance of family. By way of artistic creation, it speaks the reflection and
