Drawing concrete suggestions upon the research result,the researcher wishes them to be a useful reference for teachers in visual art instruction,schools and the educational administrator regard as the reference. This research takes investigation method of the questionnaire with interviews. Choose the eight primary schools in Chinshui Town in Taichung County as the objects. Those students who are the third,fourth,fifth,and sixth grade students who are in the courses of folk visual art courses as the research people. Using “Questionnaire of the Elementary School Students' Learning Attitudes toward School and Folk Visual Art Courses”, “Interview Conspectus of the Elementary School Students' Learning Attitudes toward School and Folk Visual Art Courses”,and “Interview Conspectus of the Folk Children’s Visual Art Educational Institutions” as the research tools. The researcher delivered 266 questionnaires while 266 returned with 263 valid ones. To analyze with describing statistics,t-test of repeated measure,t-test of interdependent sample,and one-way ANOVA to make a variation and counting statistical method of analyzing. As for the interview samples, choose 35 students of the fifth grade and 5 students of the sixth grade and do the interviews separately for the target who participate in children’s folk visual art educational institution. The main result of the study is as follows: 1. Students’ basic background of present situation: The number of girls is more than the numbers of boys. Most of the main students are in the third grade and society persons with low society status. Motive of participating in folk study is the person who holds “one's own personal interest” the most. Persons who have participated in the folk for more than three years are the most. 2. Student's present situation and difference to the school and attitudes toward the study of folk visual art courses of primary school: (1) For partly: In school part, attitude towards ”courses“, “ learning and creativity”, “teaching of teachers” and ”environment and equipment” are tend to be positive; In the folk part, the attitude towards learning is very positive. There are apparent differences between these two parts. (2) The whole: In school part, the whole attitude towards learning inclined to positive, among them with “learning and creativity” is the most positive, the following order is “course”, “teaching of teachers “ ,and “environment and equipment”; In the folk part, the whole attitude towards learning is very positive,among them with “course” the most positive, “teaching of teachers” ,”environment and equipment” and then ” learning and creativity”. There is difference of showing to the attitudes towards study of the school and folk visual art course on the whole. People are holding more positive attitude towards learning. 3. Different background variables for primary school students to have different attitudes toward the school visual art courses: (1) There is difference of showing that exists on the attitude towards study in the sex, girl students have more positive attitude towards study than the boy students. (2) The social-economic status has obvious difference on learning attitudes. The low social-economic status students hold more positive attitude than the middle status ones. (3) The grade, learning motivations in folk study and learning experience of folk study of participation are not apparent on the attitude towards study. 4. Different backgrounds change primary school students to the difference on the attitude towards the study of folk visual art courses: (1) There is difference of showing that exists on the attitude towards study in the sex, girl students hold more positive attitude towards study than the boy student. (2) There is difference of showing that exists on the students’ attitude towards study in the motive of participating in folk study for “one's own personal interest” are more positive than the motive for “the parents’ suggestion or arrangement” student. (3) There is difference of showing that exists on the attitude towards study in the age and service seniority of participating in folk study. The students with “more than three years” clasp more positive attitude towards study than student of “one year”. (4) There is no apparent difference of showing to exist on the attitude towards study by the position in the grade and society. Finally, according to the above result of study, this research promotes the vision to teacher's visual art teaching, school separately art education, educational competent authority and researching and proposing the suggestion in the future.
