Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 金融營運所 === 96 === This paper examines the relationship between different type of inside directors and firm performance of Taiwanese TSE-listed companies from 2002 to 2006.This study find that the stock-market reaction to the announcement of inside director appointment is significantly positive, and approves the positive relationship between firm performance and proportion of inside directors. This result suggest that we could hire more inside directors if they have higher ownership, higher education, unpowerful, or not so busy.
