Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 96 === The objective of this research is to explore the affection of the application of STS teaching concept in the field of natural and life technology course on the study results of students and the professional growths of teachers. This research adopts action research method. Thirty two students of fifth grade of primary school are subjects of this study for the teaching topic of incinerator. The course is divided into three phases – "the affection of human activities on environment", "incinerator that we love and hate", and "exploration of environmental issue of incinerator", and is taught for a period of six weeks. This research adopts such research methods as literature analysis, interview, observation, and study sheet etc. as well as portfolio assessment, prior- and post-test analysis of contents of study sheets, to understand the study results. This research concludes as follows: 1.A course combining STS concept can be developed based on the course development of STS teaching of incinerator issue, together with 9-year consistent course ability index, to achieve teaching objective by progressive method. 2.STS teaching activities of incinerator issue is subject to the affection of relative factors. In particular, the inflexible time affects the teaching activity, and decreases the desires of teachers. Implementation in primary school is difficult. 3.Students have significant progresses in respect of the awareness of and acceptability of incinerator and the awareness of relative science principles, and their study potentials are also motivated. 4.As learned from observation and interview, teachers have increased their understanding of incinerator and STS teaching, and have advanced their teaching skills.
