The method of questionnaire survey was used, and the studying subject were the members of the association of cram schools in Kaohsiung and Pingtong areas, which are definitely legal and have governmental certification. There were 406 cram schools involved in this study. The instrument was a revised questionnaire regarding the teaching faith, job involvement and teaching effect of the cram school teachers in Kaohsiung and Pingtong Areas. 600 questionnaires were issued, 513 of them were retrieved, and the retrieve rate was 88.83%. The data were analyzed with methods as descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson’s product-moment, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major findings are as following: 1. The teachers’ total teaching faith is of middle or high level, among which “increasing knowledge and arranging class” is better. 2. The teachers’ total job involvement is of middle or high level, among which “working fun” is better. 3. The teachers’ total teaching effect is of middle or high level, among which “class manage effect” is better. 4. The cram school teachers with higher teaching faith are those of 41-50 in age, 11-15 in working years and from cram schools of larger scale in Kaohsiung County. 5. The cram school teachers with higher job involvement are those of 41-50 in age, 11-15 in working years and from cram schools in Kaohsiung County and Pingtong County. 6. The cram school teachers with higher teaching effect are those of 31-40 and 41-50 in age, more than 6 in working years and from cram schools in Kaohsiung County and Pingtong County. 7. The teaching faith, job involvement and teaching effect of cram school teachers were positively related. 8. The teaching faith and the job involvement can be use to predict teaching effect. “Work concentration” does best in predicting. Finally, according to the findings, this study makes suggestions to the cram schools, the teachers of them, the cram school associations and the studies in the future.
