Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 成人教育研究所 === 96 === The purpose of the study is to discuss the relationship among chief transformational leadership, policemen empowerment and service quality of local police station in Kaohsiung County. Through analyzing the theories on the study of transformational leadership, empowerment and service quality, we adopted the method of questionnaire survey. We selected the samples of 600 policemen from 86 local police stations in Kaohsiung County. Actually, 543 questionnaires were valid. The tools of the research were “The Questionnaire of Chief Transformational Leadership,” “The Questionnaire of Empowerment,” and “The Questionnaire of Service Quality.” Data were analyzed by descriptive statistic, Pearson’s correlation analysis, t-test, one way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. The conclusions we obtained from the study are listed as follows: I. The current status of policemen’s perception for chief transformational leadership, policemen empowerment and service quality at local police station in Kaohsiung County was rated at middle high level II. Policemen’s perception for chief transformational leadership was significantly different as policemen were in different personal background variables of the age. III. Policemen’s perception for policemen empowerment was significantly different as policemen were in different personal background variables of the marriage, the age, the years of service, the education background, and the location of the police station. IV. Policemen’s perception for service quality was significantly different as policemen were in different personal background variables of the marriage, the age, the duty, the education background, and the location of the police station. V. Chief transformational leadership, policemen empowerment and service quality were positively related with each other. VI. Chief transformational leadership and policemen empowerment influenced service quality. And the dimension “self- decision” is the crucial factor. According to the conclusions above, we propose several suggestions: I. To provide the professional development training programs for the chief of local police station. II. To consider the welfare and the opinions for policemen at the local police station. III. With the appropriate empowerment for the policemen, to promote the service quality flexibly.
