Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 96 === The purpose of the research was to explore the immediate and follow-up effects of parenting with Reality Therapy Group Counseling program.The researcher recruited parents who have children at the elementary school in Kaohsiung. The researcher applied the equivalent pretest-posttest control group method.Participants (n=39) were not randomly assigned. Among the participants, nineteen participants who could attend 6 weekly group counseling sessions, 3 hours per week, totally 18 hours were assigned into the experiment group.The other twenty parents of the control group received no treatment and could choose to attend a workshop learning concepts of reality therapy after the experimental group was completed.All subjects received the pretest, the posttest and the follow-up test with “Parent Attitude Scale” for the parents, and “Parent-Child Communication Scale” for the parents’ children. The researcher applied ANCOVA or Nonparametric Statistics, and Johnson-Neyman method to analyze the data from pre-test, post-test and follow-up test.The result shows that the reality therapy group counseling had significant guidance effect on parent-child attitude for the parents’ children . Based on the results, suggestions for learning guidance and further researchers were provided in this study.
