Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 96 === THE EFFECTS OF COGNITIVE-BEHAVIOR COPING SKILL TRAINING FOR THE HIGHLY SOCIAL ANXIOUS CHILDREN IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Pai-Chou Cheng ABSTRACT The purposes of the research are to develop a cognitive-behavior coping skill training group, and to explore its effects on highly social anxious children. Twenty subjects with high anxiety children were chose from Yang Ming Elementary School in Kaoshiung. The students were divided into two groups:an experimental group and a waiting-list group. The students in the experimental group participated in 12-session of cognitive-behavior coping skill training. The dependent variables are “social anxiety”(measured by Social Anxiety Scale for Children)、“social skill”(measured by Social Skill Scale for Children)、“social efficacy expectation”(measured by Social Efficacy Expectation Scale)、“social outcome expectation”(measured by Social Outcome Expectation Scale)、The “group of treatment”is the independent. The data were delt with by the analysis of covariance. The result of the feedback sheets and interviews were used as the proof of the research results. The results show that cognitive-behavior coping skill training has immediate effects on the sub-scale of fear of negative evaluation, the sub-scale of efficacy expectation for interaction、the sub-scale of outcome expectation for get along and respond, and has long effects on the sub-scale of social avoidance distress and fear of negative evaluation、social skill、the sub-scale of efficacy expectation for interaction and friend-making、the sub-scale of outcome expectation for interaction、friend-making and respond. However, it didn’t show any obvious effects on the other dependent variables. We find that all of the menebers considered the counseling group is helpful on getting along with peers. In the interviews, all of the teachers thought that the students demonstrate more positive change after the counseling group. At last, the suggestions for advanced reseach are discussed.
