碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 視覺傳達設計研究所 === 96 === In the explosion of the information of the post-modernist society of the 21th century, Christianity has faced the impact of the development of the technology, the evolution of the knowledge and the value of the culture. Therefore, in order to find its new turning point, it is inevitable for the art of Christianity under the new thoughts to seek the new style of the creation. Based on the theory of the semiotics, this thesis not only analyzes the traditional Bible painting and the post-modern illustration but also combines the social phenomenon to produce the creative association and hopes to get the new experience and explanation about the Bible by presenting the idea of “Revelation “ through the method of the post-modern design. The first chapter explains the motive, the purpose, the method and the procedure of this study; the second chapter discusses the relative theory of the visual-transmitting design and the study of the semiotics, and then makes an inductive study on the relative works of the post-modernism; the third chapter analyzes and discusses “Revelation “ to get a better understanding about the traditional Christian painting; the fourth chapter explains the idea of the creator, discusses the style of the creation and analyzes the works; the fifth chapter presents the conclusion and reflections of this thesis.
