One piece of film poster could be the name-card for cinema. In views of this reason, the designing of the poster stands for the various genres. This research is concentrated on the films which are revised by Chiung-Yao’s novels from 1965 till 1983. On the basis of the historical background, which includes the theories of iconology、semeiology and poster design, not only to complete the analysis on the design of Chiung-Yao’s, but to explore the development and appearance which are under the aura of time difference. Results are the following points, 1.The film poster of the Chiung-Yao movie utilizing the stars’ image on the presence of model established and joined with the graphic formula on promotional images. Utilizing the artistic letter to displays the literature expression and reddish color to integrates the movie’s frame. On the presence of the programming format, applying the horizontal theme structure and central titles to be the major arrangement. 2.The film poster designed by the mostly utilization of the iconology from movie stars. Star adoring phenomenon which is reflected upon the graphic demonstration, which is the prevailing index for that periods. 3.The film poster of the Chiung-Yao movie illustrated the different stages of Taiwan Arts designing, from manuscript, printing, to photography assistance. And also demonstrated the developing and declining of the cinema industry, including Cinema verity, multi-appearance, image assemblage and commercialize pattern.
