Yet functionally diverse teams' inevitable conflicts often appear to prevent this. This research tries to find out the effect of conflict on team innovation. Besides, it comprehends the exploration of the moderating effect of collaborative communications. About sampling, first , we decide the sample size with quota sampling. Based on the top 1000 manufacturing companies, the top 500 servicing companies, and top 100 finance companies listed by Chinese Worldwide magazine, we decide the sample proportion of each industry. Survey instruments are mailed to a nationwide sample of 522 leaders of new product teams. This survey approach yields 174 responses, resulting in a response rate of 33.33%. And this study use LISREL as analysis tools. After LISREL analysis, the conclusions indicate that (1) Consensus on strategy of innovation relates positively to Team innovation. (2) Team conflict relates negatively to consensus on strategy of innovation. (3) Leadership effectiveness and customer orientation relates negatively to team conflict, and team diversity relates positively to team conflict. (4) The negative effect of team conflct on consensus on strategy of innovation will be observed less frequently in teams in which members communicate in a collaborative manner.
