Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 獸醫學系所 === 96 === Chronic valve disease ( CVD ) has also been termed chronic degenerative valvular disease. The Chronic valve disease is most common in small to medium sized breeds of dogs. This disease is characterized clinically by the cough, nocturnal dyspnea, altered sleep habits, abdominal distention or exercise intolerance. But the pathogenesis is unknown. Recent literatures indicate that the cardiomyocyte injury requires the expression of myocyte intercellular adhesion molecule adhesion, and lead to release of cytokines is crucial in inducing leukocytes and endothelial cells activation. This present study is conducted to compare the relationship between cytokines expression and various phases in CVD of dogs. The results showed that the plasma average levels of TNF-α in group I were 361.6 ± 78.3 pg/mL, 143.1 ± 10.3 pg/mL in group II, and 127.8 ± 17.4 pg/mL in group III. The plasma levels of TNF-α in control group were 21.3 ± 3.3 pg/mL ( p<0.05 ). With IL-6 assays, the plasma levels of IL-6 in group I were 116.9 ± 37.4 pg/mL, 62.1 ± 8.4 pg/mL in group II, and 88.7 ± 17.1 pg/mL in group III. The plasma levels of IL-6 were 87.2 ± 22.9 pg/mL in the control group ( p>0.05 ). Therefore, these results implicate that TNF-α were more sensitivity than IL-6 in classify the stage of CVD of dog, and the TNF-α was more sensitivity in the early phase.
