碩士 === 國立台北護理學院 === 聽語障礙科學研究所 === 96 === The purpose of the study was to evaluate reliability of the mandarin monosyllable recognition test (MMRT) in hearing-impaired listeners. The aspects of reliability of multiple-list word recognition tests involve interlist equivalence, test-retest reliabi lity, and split-half reliability. There are six half-lists and nine full-lists in the MMRT. Thirty subjects with sensorineural hearing loss participated in this study, and ranged in age from 23 to 77 years with a mean age of 51 years. The MMRT word lists were presented to the subjects at their most comfortable listening levels (MCLs) to obtain the word recognition scores. The word lists were tested twice for all subjects to evaluate the test-retest reliability. Pearson correlation coefficients, paired t test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and binomial model were used to assess the reliability of the results of MMRT. The findings indicate good reliability of test-retest, interlist equivalence and split-half in quiet. Therefore, the MMRT is a reliable clinical tool of assessing word discrimination.
