碩士 === 國立臺灣體育大學(桃園) === 休閒產業經營學系碩士班 === 96 === This study is focusing on the effect of therapeutic adventure on the emotion, social life and self-confidence of children and adolescents with Tourette syndrome (TS). Researcher find out the difficulties encountered by TS children through a series of in-depth interviews with cases and parents. Eight weeks of specific rope courses and surface activities are designed based on the obstacles of attendees’ emotion, social life and self-confidence. Sensory profiles and descriptive statistics are used to compare the TS and control groups for the immediate effect after therapeutic adventure and delayed effect evaluated 3 months after activities. Observation and records during the treatment process and the second interview with parents and individual cases after treatment also conclude qualitative data and complete records of personal as well as group transformation.The findings of this study are as follows: 1.TS children and adolescents suffer from higher level of difficulties in their emotion, social life and self-confidence. 2.Therapeutic adventure has immediate effect on balancing emtion of TS children and adolescents, but there is no significant improvement shown on the delayed effect after three months. 3.Therapeutic adventure has immediate effect on the improvement of social interaction and self-confidence of TS children and adolescents. It is also shown significant improvement in the delayed effect three months later. 4.By intervening therapeutic adventure, TS children and adolescents have improvement in their emotion, social life and self-confidence. No matter which one is improved, these three aspects can benefit one another.
