Seven male long-distance athletes of high school level as subjects whose average age, height, weight and training years were 17.2 ± 0.69 year, 171.9 ± 0.39 cm, 57.9 ± 5.04 kg and 3.7 ± 1.63 year, respectively, and all subjects participated 4 times a week and totally 4 weeks of training period. Different intensities of 70%、80% and 90% of the best personal 400m performance were used as interval training with different shifting patterns. Statistical analyses of repeated measure t-test, simple regression and four quadrants were used to evaluate the differences and correlations of personal basic endurance capacity and 5000m running performance after 4 weeks training. All significant level were set at p<0.05. The results showed (1) 2-4mmol/l personal threshold test: all subjects improved significantly (p<0.05) on personal aerobic-anaerobic threshold capacities, but didn’t on heart rate (p>0.05). (2) Training adaptation: recovery heat-rate after 5000m run performance was below 120 min-1 ; there was a significant improvement at aerobic endurance (p<0.05); Lactate elimination and heart-rate improved significantly (p<0.05), and showed a positive movement toward D area on four quadrants analysis. (3) The relationship between maximum speed of 400m run and the last 400m of 5000m run, which reached a significant correlation r2=0.78 (p<0.05). (4) The relationship between anaerobic threshold capacity (4mmol/l) and 5000m run reached significant correlation (p<0.05). Anaerobic threshold capacity had no significant correlation with 5000m run performance (p>0.05). Conclusion: according to results of this study, 4 weeks interval training with speed shifting showed positive effects on basic endurance, lactate elimination, speed, speed endurance and 5000m run performance, respectively Keywords: interval training, aerobic threshold, anaerobic threshold, lactate, heart rate Yuan-Shuo Chan 詹元碩 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 81 zh-TW
