Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣體育學院 === 競技運動學系碩士班 === 96 === This study uses the related discourses of the Taekwondo Textbook that was issued by KUKKIWON, the issuance of pose photo files from competitions and Taekwondo clubs, the official competition movements and rules published by theWorld Taekwondo Federation (WTF), and the DVDs issued by KUKKIWON as the content analysis materials. Beside, through watching contests in the arena, the author is able to do the research through observation, proof, and analysis, and that come out with the following results:
(1) in the movements of Patterns 1-8 Taegeuk Poomsae of Taekwondo, the hands’ actions are primarily by fist, kicking legs, and steps which characterized by Araemakki, Apkubi, and Dwitkubi.
(2) patterns 1-8 of Taegeuk was designed through simple to complicate, easy to difficult, and single movement to compound action, in the mean time focusing on offence as well as defense.
(3) as the name as it is, Taegeuk is centered around Chinese Taichi. Designing movement in accordance with the Eight Diagrams in Chinese mythology, Taegeuk involves with thought taking from Confucianism, Daoism, and Zen. It emphasizes with the practice of doby, mind, and spirit as well as the meaning of settle.
(4) in the one hand, the teaching of Taekwondo should pay special attention on the basic fists and kicks; while on the other hand, teaching of steps have to enhance Araemakki, Apkubi, and Dwitkubi as well.
