Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 96 === The “dialogic reading” model proposed by Whitehurst et al. in 1988 was applied in one public kindergarten in Taichung, where this action research researcher teaches. Three young children with poor language ability had participated in this study for ten weeks, four times a week, approximately 30 minutes each time, for a total of 38 instances of “dialogic reading” early intervention. The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of “dialogic reading” in elevating vocabulary comprehension, expressive language, receptive language, reading interest and attitude for three young children with poor language ability. The feasible principles in applying a “dialogic reading” model were developed in this study . Professional growth of the action research researcher was also reflected in the present study . Quantitative test scores and qualitative data analysis have shown the advancement of three participants, in both vocabulary comprehension and oral communication. This study also showed that three participants became more interested in picture book interaction and their reading attitudes have improved. Through the method of action research, the researcher summarized twenty feasibility principles for the application of “dialogic reading” model in kindergarten instruction, and promoted the researcher to have professional growth.
