Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 96 === Due to the increasing leisure time and higher jog stress, traveling become an important activity for elementary teachers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of teacher background on travel motivation and leisure constraints , the effect of vacation lifestyle and leisure satisfaction. This study is based on a survey, with the population of the elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung county. A total of 404 valid surveys are returned and analyzed by descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, discriminant analysis, t-test, ANOVA and stepwise regression. The empirical results are concluded as follows: 1. Followings are some significant factors impacting teacher’s travel motivations: gender, age, education level, positions, seniority, marital status, numbers of children , the youngest child’s age ,and extent of urbanization . 2. There are significant impacts on teacher’s leisure constraints for the age, education level, positions, seniority, marital status, the number of children,and the youngest child’s age. 3. The factors affecting vacation lifestyle include gender, age, school scale, positions, marital status , the youngest child’s age , extent of urbanization , travel motivation ,and leisure constraints . 4. The factors affecting leisure satisfaction include female, non-urban area, extent of urbanization, different vacation styles, different travel motivation , intrapersonal constraints . Finally, this study provides some suggestions that teachers can pay more attention on the travel and individual trips planning, expanding social life and improving the interpersonal relationship. School can offer different information about travel, construct group planning for trip .Teacher also can organize their own traveling groups and get funding from school. Follow-up studies may expand research subject and region in order to investigate different possible factors .
