Through in-depth interview and literature analysis, the research probed into the opinions of teachers in small-sized elementary schools on problems related to the organization of teacher union, and drew following conclusions: 1. The teachers have no clear orientation for their roles, and are prone to “worker teacher” according to work contents, in expectation of achieving the goal of becoming “special vocational teachers”. 2. The current teacher organizations are mainly in the form of teacher associations, which can not meet the teachers’ demands; on the other hand, other organizations have failed to make strong impression on teachers. 3. The teachers incline to establish teacher union in accordance with special laws and regulations, and hold conservative attitude towards teachers '' strike, which they hope should be avoided or used on certain conditions if necessary, to soften the impacts caused by teachers’ strike. 4. Teachers’ wills to participate in unions will be greatly influenced by some factors, such as obtaining of information, service of union, contacting channels, and atmosphere from associates. 5. The teachers hope teacher union is able to unite the teachers’ strength, integrate teachers’ opinions, and make clear teachers’ rights and obligations, so as to bring the function of pressure group as well as professional autonomy into effect. But there are possibilities that it will make negative impacts on social impression due to excessive dispute over rights and interests. 6. Individually speaking, the teachers expect teacher union can assist in improving working condition, solving conflicts between teachers and parents, communicating and counterbalancing with the administration, making clear teachers’ rights and obligations, managing teaching distribution, enhancing teachers’ profession, and handling incompetent teachers, etc. Miao-Hsiang Hsiao 蕭妙香 學位論文 ; thesis 133 zh-TW |
