Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 美術學系碩士班(93學年度~) === 96 === To me, art is the accumulation of daily life, time and experiences. Art creation is also an important manner to connect self and the outside world. During 2006-2008, I have transformed my cognition to the world into internal images via metallographic diagrams, microstructure diagrams, and the materials. “ Metallographic Diagram and Me – Dialogue with Matter and Mind” is the subject I apply to develop my thinking and art works. By reflecting memories and experiences, recognizing the external world and listening to my mind, I commence my research and art creation. Art history and text consulting, acting researching and self-analyzing are also the research methods I apply. The thesis begins with introduction which explains the motivation, purpose, methods, procedures, scopes and frameworks of this creation research. The main context includes four parts: Chapter one explains the inspiration of media metallographic and microstructure diagrams, and discusses the association among art, nature and art, and science. Chapter two is the research of materials. I contemplate the material employment of several domestic artists and their influences to myself. In addition, revealing Staël’s color field painting, the spirit of the materials in Tàpies’ paintings, and Klein’s immaterial creation. Chapter three, through theoretical studying, focuses on the formation of matter and mind in my art works, further more, the evolution of abstract painting is evaluated. Chapter four reviews the working process, and reorganizes the new points and goals for further creation. Besides, displays the dialogue between matter and mind, work and self, separates the art works into two dimensions, details their abstract forms, and in the very end, carries out nine major pieces of works in accordance to the order of producing, and presents the motivations, methods, and forms one by the other. From the process, I realize the essence of art creation, and learn better about the steps of producing. Besides gaining knowledge of material application, theoretical consulting helps me clarify my mental states during creation. My research results are also enriched. This stage of creation provides me the structure of another progress. To the end of the thesis, a comprehensive conclusion is raised. It affirms the value of personal creation, meanwhile, depicts the blueprint to the future.
