Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 數位學習科技學系教學碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of this study is to probe into the relationships among learning styles, web-searching behaviors and the problem-solving ability of 5th and 6th grade students, to to compare different grades, genders, and hobbies with learning styles, and attempt to find the difference of the behavior of the web problem-solving ability. The intentions of this study are (1) to probe the relationships of web problem-solving ability, web searching ability, creative thinking and critical thinking and inferential thinking; (2) to compare the performance of the web problem-solving ability between boys and girls; (3) to compare the performance of the web problem-solving ability between fifth-graders and sixth-graders; (4) to compare the performance of the web problem-solving ability among the different hobbies of the learning styles. The method of the study is botanizing and relationship. Participants were 255 fifth and sixth grade students at the elementary school in the Kaohsiung County. The test tool used were “web searching problem-solving ability test” and the Index of Learning Styles (ILS) formulated by R.M. Felder and B.A. Soloman. The main statistic procedures employed for analyzing experimental data and testing the research hypotheses adopted descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient etc. The main findings of this study are given as follows: (1) While solving problems in a web-based learning environment, the reationship between each pair of creativity thinking, criticism thinking and inference thinking presents a low degree (r is lie between .169 and .474) of significant relevance. In the meantime, the relationships between each pair of information-searching ability, creative thinking and critical thinking appears a low degree (r is lie between .165 and .184) showoff significant relevance, too. (2) The web problem-solving ability of the sixth-grader is higher than the fifth-grader apparently. In addition, its capability of information searching, creative thinking and reasoning thinking is all higher than the fifth-grader apparently. (3) In Vision-Verbal type of learning style, the web problem-solving and thinking-criticizing ability of the learners who ‘were balanced in their learning style’ is higher than the learners who ‘were a moderate preference’. (4) There were many students with different learning styles who have a partiality for learning, the capability of web searching and creative thinking and reasoning thinking is not different apparently. (5) The web problem-solving ability has no significant relationship with the genders, and is not relevant with the learning styles, either.
