Summary:博士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育經營與管理研究所博士班 === 96 === This study aims at the relationship between school organizational change and teachers'' professional development in the elementary and junior high schools in Tainan city. Through the investigate study and related theoretic analysis , the result of this study offers some suggestions for the elementary and junior high schools to develop school organizational change and promote teachers'' professional development. The discussion of the literature, questionnaire survey and interview are the main methods used in this study. Firstly, this study collects the literatures about the school organizational change and teachers'' professional development to be the theoretical foundation. Secondly, it also consists of 31 elementary and junior high schools, 606 teachers and administrative staff in Tainan city as the objects of this study, carrying out the investigation, statistics, and analysis in order to understand the present situation and the relationship between the school organizational change and teachers'' professional development in the elementary and junior high schools. Moreover, this study chooses two schools to conduct the semi-structured interview so as to realize the actual situation of the school organizational change and the teachers'' professional development. This study obtains several important conclusions as follows: 1. In Tainan city, the main school organizational change type is planned change. 2. In Tainan city, the main school organizational change ways are through technology and people path. 3. In Tainan city, the main school organizational change strategy is self-renew. 4. In Tainan city, the best performance of the teachers’ professional development is in the dimension of educational philosophy and attitude. 5. There is an interdependent relationship between the school organizational change and the teachers'' professional development. 6. In Tainan city, the school organizational change has conjecture on the teachers’ professional development. 7. School S1 and S2 adopt multiple school organizational change ways, strategies to effect more efficient of change. 8. The performance of the school organizational change and teachers’ professional development in school S1 and S2 is good. 9. School organizational change had promoted teachers'' professional development already in school S1 and S2. 10. The elementary and junior high schools should not only strengthen the self-renew ability, but also provide opportunities for teachers and staff to attend advanced studies. According to the conclusions, this study provides some suggestions for the related authorities, elementary and junior high schools, teachers. Besides, it offers some suggestions for further study in the future.
