Therefore, the purpose of this study was to understand sports summer camp instructor’ professional competency. From industrial, official, academic fields of sports summer camp industry. Ten subjects who were more than five year experience in instructing or studying in summer camps. The subjects were interviewed by semi-structure questions. The results were as following: 1. The professional competency for sports summer camp instructor included (1). Professional knowledge, which were “expertise in sport”, “first aid & emergency care”, “care prevention of athletic injuries”, “curriculum design”, “professional teaching knowledge”. (2). Administration and Management, which were “planning”, “risk management”. (3). Professional skills, which were “skills in sports”, “injury prevention and first aid”, “communication skills”, “teaching skills”. (4). Professional attitude, which were “work attitude”. (5). Other relevant skills, which were “creativity”, “general knowledge” “operating equipment”, “courtesy”. 2. Except three items, “curriculum design”, “professional teaching knowledge” and “planning.”, ten experts pay great attention to other ten items. The study suggested that to: 1. Establish the rule of qualification. 2. To enhance on student’s teaching skill in physical education curriculum. 3. To enforce risk management and safety more efficiently. 4. To conduct qualitative studies to understand the sports camp instructors’ professional competency.
