Therefore the true mechanical behavior of soil is not isotropic. In order to imitate the real 3-D mechanical behavior of soil in the laboratory, the true triaxial test devices were developed and three different principal stresses σx≠σy≠σz were also been applied. The objective of this study is to investigate the 3-D stress-strain behaviors of laterite under differnent compacted energy. A series of radial stress path tests are performed with flexible boundary true triaxial testing apparatus. The results indicate that:(1)The stress of failure has obvious increase with the raise of compacted energy and also the anisotropic of specimen;(2)They all show plane strain effect when b=0.5 ;(3)Lade and I3 failure criterion can satisfactorily represent the compacting 25 and 35 times experimental values, however, because of the anisotropic under compacting 50 times is the most obviously, Abelev & Ladefailure criterion is freferred.
