Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 97 === Abstract The purpose of this study mainly is to investigate the effect of teaching aide by using media briefing design on students’ learning of local specialty. This study adopts quasi-experiment research method with two classes of 4th grade elementary schoolchildren selected and randomly assigned to experimental group and control group participating in four weeks, including 12 sessions, of local specialty teaching course using two types of teaching methods as follows: briefing media and traditional presentation. After administering schoolchildren’s academic achievement test and survey, interview of their learning attitude, major research findings are as follows: 1. After teaching the course for experimental group and control group, there is no significant difference of schoolchildren’s interests for learning between the teaching materials in media briefing and paper form presentation. Using native fact as teaching materials, students’ interests of learning is not affected while the content presentation is different. 2. There is no significant difference of the effectiveness of attracting students’ classroom participation for experimental group and control group between media briefing teaching and traditional presentation teaching. Although the teaching methods are different, children are happy to share their experiences in subjects that they are familiar with in daily life. 3. There is no significant difference of the performance on local participation cognition for two groups of schoolchildren after using different teaching methods on experimental group and control group. The reason is because hometown is the place where an individual born and raised; by producing an emotional connection with this living environment, an individual has grown a cognition to the hometown and thus gives active participation and contribution for all types of event held in hometown. 4. After experimental teaching, the experimental group scores higher in academic achievement test, indicating the media briefing teaching is helpful in increasing the learning achievement of schoolchildren; especially in the delay test for drawing questions, it indicate a long-term learning effect of some students.
