Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 97 === An Action Research of Illustrated Books Applied to Music Appreciation in Life Curriculum – First Grade as an Example Abstract The purpose of this research is to solve problems found in music instruction in nine-year integrated curriculum. This goal was achieved in the process of designing, implementing, reflecting, and modifying the music appreciating curriculum with application of illustrated books. The researcher designed 10-week lesson plans for first graders in an elementary school. The practicability of lesson plans applying illustrated books was assessed during the teaching in order to offer reference for first-grade teachers. In this action research, the researcher obtained conclusions as following: 1. Music instructors can use interesting materials to emphasize learners’ musical experiences that close to their daily lives. 2. Teachers can use elements in musical illustrated books to develop proper lesson plans according to literature review. 3. The researcher brings up four strategies to solve four dimensions of difficulties in the application of lesson plans applying illustrated books. They are: a. Curriculum design and confusion: The difficulty of presenting materials was resorted to computers. Holding the elements in illustrated books to design abundant activities is the way to avoid confusions about the status of illustrated books. b. The instructor: The teacher should consult relating literatures, cooperating teacher and professor to improve teaching ability. They can prepare in advance or make use of elastic time. As for preparing working sheets, helpful parents offer printers and color inks for free. c. Cooperating teacher: The researcher recorded teaching videos for the cooperating teacher to review and give feedbacks. After that, the researcher modified the curriculum according to integration of her own viewpoints and cooperating teacher’s, and the students’ learning goal and condition. d. Computer assisting teaching: The researcher had to know how to operate presentation programs and create slides. To improve the procedure of slide presentation, the cooperating teacher suggested using complete texts of fairy tales accompanied with specific segments of music edited by sound software. 4. Teachers’ progress can be achieved in the process of designing, implementing, reflecting and modifying the music appreciating curriculum with application of illustrated books Finally, according to the conclusions of this research, the researcher made recommendations for music teaching, life curriculum, education administration, and future research.
