Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育政策與管理研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to examine the present situation of team leadership and team effectiveness of elementary school directors in Taipei County, meanwhile to discover the variations of team leadership and team effectiveness under variables of different background, moreover to realize the relationship between team leadership and team effectiveness of school directors and ultimately to analyze the prediction of team leadership done to team effectiveness. This study employed questionnaire method. The population of the study was the section chiefs at elementary school in Taipei County. A self-composed questionnaire was carried out in the research. 694 copies of questionnaires were distributed; 562 of them were collected and 547 copies were valid. Frequency distribution, descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis have been done with SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The results of this study are as follows: 1.Elementary school directors are provided with high team leadership behavior. 2.The location of the school does not affect team leadership of elementary school directors while the size of the school does. 3.Team leadership of elementary school directors does not vary from the sexes, the working experience and the highest degree but significant variations have shown on the marital status. 4.Section chiefs with different background variables do not show significant variations on the awareness of team leadership of elementary school directors. 5.The administrative offices in the elementary schools are attributed to high team effectiveness. 6.The location of the school does not affect team effectiveness but the size of the school does partially. 7.The sexes and the working experience of the elementary school directors do not significantly affect team effectiveness but the marital status and the highest degree do. 8.Section chiefs with different background variables do not show significant variations on the awareness of team effectiveness. 9.Different levels of directors’ team leadership affect team effectiveness significantly. 10.Team leadership and team effectiveness have been shown to be positively correlated with one another. 11.Team leadership of elementary school directors are able to predict team effectiveness. According to the mentioned findings, some suggestions are proposed to the official administrators, elementary school principals and directors and for future research: 1.Suggestions to the official administrators: a、Official administrators should value the promotion of team leadership to prompt the execution. b、Official administrators should properly design training program for probation directors to help them being an outstanding team leader. 2.Suggestions to the elementary school principals a、School principals may bring team leadership into practice. b、School principals may appoint directors with the awareness of team leadership. c、School principals may build up cognitions of team leadership and extend to other organizations in schools. 3.Suggestions to the elementary school directors a、Elementary school directors may effectively exercise team leadership to enhance team effectiveness. b、Elementary school directors may actively participate in professional programs to enhance the expertise. 4.Suggestions to future research a、In view of study subjects:Research on elementary school principals and directors may proceed simultaneously b、In view of study methods:Multiple research tools may be adopted. c、In view of study variables:Intermediate factors may be taken into consideration or different effectiveness indicators may be selected.
