Thus, all respective hoteliers have invariably spared no efforts to invest in this extremely potential market. International tourism hotels shall become a major key development point of the tourism industry, however, the conducting of studies regarding extraction of its core resource as well as integration and alignment of success factors are still inadequate. Therefore, this study probes the key success factors of international tourism resort from the perspective of core resource, and analyzes the fundamental connotations and characteristics of the key success factors and its connection with structural competitive advantages, thereby proposing effective employment of key success factors to achieve sustainable management. This study has arrived at the following conclusions: (1)Connotations of key success factors including two major categories, assets and capabilities, while intangible assets and organizational capabilities are the main core resource. (2)The characteristics of key success factors falls into the scope of attributable, independent and obsure, this demonstrates that the characteristics of key success factors are influenced by core resource. (3) Service quality and capabilities of management team are joint key success factors. This indicates that the competitive advantage of international tourim resorts derives from the management philosophy of “customer orientation” and the core value of “human”. (4) The competitive advantage setup process for individual international tourism resort fulfills the concept of “Core Resource – Key Success Factor – Competitive Advantage”.
