Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 健康促進與休閒管理碩士在職專班 === 96 === The pourposes of the study were to understand the current situation of leisure participation and emotional intelligence of fifth and sixth graders of elementary school in Kaohsiung City, and discover the relationship between them. The subjects of this study were 638 students by surveying with questionnaires. The instruments were “The Leisure Participation Measurement”and “The Emotional Intelligence Inventory”. Data were analyzed by the method of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Chi-Square test, Pearson product moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The findings were as follows: 1.The most popular leisure activity which students often participate is “entertaining”. Students of girl,higher socio-economic status and parents’s style of leisure education” low-authority and high-concern attitude” participate in leisure activities more than others. 2.The emotional intelligence of students were in the good conditions. Students of girl、higher socio-economic status and parents’ style of leisure education” low-authority and high-concern attitude” had higher emotional intelligence. 3.There is a positive relationship between students’ total emotional intelligence and leisure participation.
