| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 語文教育學系碩士班 === 97 === A lot of juvenile novelists devote themselves to writing in teenagers, to help them set up the correct outlook and values and face countless challenges during the course of growing up and finally own sound personality when they enter the the adult's world. Because the background of the story has crossed over a lot of countries, there must be difference on its culture systems.Therefore, we can find out local customs, background of countries and societies from different ethnic groups, the speciality of the personality under different culture result, and gradually expand the degree of different national characteristic and at last rech the target of the global village.
The juvenile novel has greatest influence on the growing child, especially the personages in the novel, which are the target they imitate. In a good juvenile novel, “personages portray” will easily have deepest impression on people, so this research focuses on “personages portray” in the juvenile novel, and the works studied regard Newbery Honor Book, enjoying international prestige. However, the relevant researches that discuss “personages portray” in the juvenile novels mostly focus on exploration of physiological and psychological characteristic, the degree of society. Besides, I find that all of them lacked the most important annotation of “the cultural personality”. Personages portary in the works of the writers of different countries must have different personality, which can be called “ cultural personality”. This research aims directly at perosnality of theree cultural systems, “creative view culture”, “gasification view culture”, “fatality view culture”. I hope that this research can help creators establish the authority, people in propagating industry break through original views, improve readers’ literary attainments and expand teachers’ vision in deepening aesthetic education.
