People all over the world should have the sense that「AIDS stop with me」 and adopt vigorous measures to prevent it. Researchers are getting interested in researching the issue because they are urged by the sense of social responsibility. It is hoped that the research can inquire into related issues about HIV prisoners as well as offer suggestions to correctional institutes and related governmental agencies. The research is based on AIDS inmates in Taiwan Kaohsiung Second Prison, Independent variable, yearning for drugs and inner restraint serve as dependent variable as to inquire the relations between yearning for drugs and restraint of AIDS inmates. Data analysis by SPSS 12.0 for Windows, including descriptive statistics analysis、 reliability analysis 、Pearson product-moment correlation、One-Way ANOVA、 Regression-Analysis. Point outs as follows.: 1. The average level of HIV inmates’ yearning for drugs is above the average figure. It shows that HIV inmates are extremely relying on drugs, Moreover, religious belief, the number of times for drug imprisonment, drug abusing history and HIV contracting history can all cause notable differences on the degree of HIV inmates’ yearning for drugs. 2. The average level of HIV inmates’ inner restraint is above the average figure, It shows that HIV inmates have stronger impulse and weaker inner self-control when it comes to inner restraint. 3. HIV inmates’ yearning for drugs and their inner restraint are positively relevant, in other words, the more AIDS inmates long for drugs, the weaker inner restraint they have We are coming up with suggestions for correctional institutes’ practical uses as well as the preventing policies of drugs and HIV based on the research conclusion through on-the-spot discovery and analysis. The research conclusion can serve as a reference for drugs and HIV prevention policies , practical uses as well as future research . Keywords: HIV, yearning for drugs, inner restraint SUN BEN CHU 孫本初 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 88 zh-TW
