Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 造形藝術研究所 === 95 === Abstract The purpose of this study is to verify the “Taiwan Aborigine Totem” application of the trademark design. By introducing the Taiwan Aborigine totem in the visual communication class, we expect that students may apply it into their trademark design. This is an experiment research, which was to divide students into two groups, and this research can be divided into five parts. The first part of this research was the introduction, which includes the motivation, goals, frame and methods. The second part is to analyze the common and difference of the logo and the Taiwan aborigine totem. The third part is the main experiment of this research and the fourth part is to analyze the trademark designs by two groups. The last part is the result of this research and the conclusion. Both groups of this experiment were taught the trademark design. But the experiment group was also introduced the Taiwan aborigine totem. After the teaching experiment finished, both groups designed the trademark and the application of the Taiwan aborigine totem was analyzed. The results are as follows. Students of the experiment group understood more traditional cultures and realize the art of totem. Also, their designs are more unique and reflect more self-identity. By the result of this research, the various teaching activity in the visual communication design class are expected. Keywords: trademark design, totem, Taiwan aborigine
