In different historical, social, or cultural atmospheres, it also has different censures and cultural meanings. “Chai Found Music Workshop” was founded in 1991 and ever since, it has devoted itself in developing and creating the new performance forms and artistic value of the Chinese music. The effort and achievement of “Chai Found”, often seems to get great feedback and even dispute in the society of Chinese music of Taiwan; however, there are only limited academic theses and the relevant studies do not appear to be enough. From the selected three works of ''Shichitro and The Crazy Girl'', ''Ambush! '' and ''Eastern Legends'', this study aims to observe “Chai Found”’s use of the new developing performing forms of the Chinese music, its meaning and influence. In addition, through examining the use of elements of inter-disciplinary performing arts and the interaction with audience, this study explores the organic and multiple cultural role, and the artistic aspect that Chinese music has in the present society in Taiwan. Finally, this study brings criticisms and makes suggestions.
