Leisure and recreation plays a more and more important role in recent people’s lives in Taiwan. The research tries to analyze environment and leisure activities of Taiwan northeast coast area to find out how to create a comfortable, safe and fun environment for people to enjoy with and adopt local culture to develop a place’s special charm and tourist industry. Through the research, we hope to improve the environment to better meet people’s needs, protect nature resource and develop an enjoyable tourism place.
The research uses North East Coast as a case study to analyze Taiwan leisure environment and activities and further investigate its current and future development and planning strategies. First of all, we analyze the environment through urban planning, site planning, and leisure industry management theories to understand North East Coast current environment and futher potential, and secondly investigate its future urban planning and management strategies through professors’ interview and users’ surveys to better understand planning directions of the place. Through the analysis and research, we hope to build a safer, convenient and fun place for people to play and live with and enjoy the nature beauty of Taiwan.
The study tries to achieve 1) a North East Cost site planning, urban planning and environment management information data base, 2) through case study, professor interview and users survey to conduct a leisure environment analysis, planning anlaysis and management strategies analysis to gather further planning information, and 3) through issues discussion to find out suitable solutions and strategies for further environment improvement. Hope to create a safer and more attractive playing environment for people to enjoy Taiwan’s beautiful nature environment and further protect the nature resource and develop green industry and local charm to attract tourists.
