Despite the convenience of network, it also bring more burdens to network administrators. Insufficient bandwidth caused by large amounts of abnormal packets, disconnection caused by IP address conflict, and management of network equipment of different brands. Based on an MIB of network equipment, this study used a Java program and SNMP to rotationally check on network equipment and collect information such as network flow, system information, IP and MAC addresses, and further stored the data in a MySQL database integrated with personnel data. Besides, this study also provided a detection tool and designed a web-based network service management system for user management, equipment monitoring, and abnormal event processing for three objectives: First, no location constraint. The use of the standard HTTP protocol allows users to execute the JSP program via web browsers to check equipment status and process abnormal operations; Second, monitoring network flow. If an abnormal flow is detected from a client-side computer, the computer can be directly disconnected to avoid further distribution of the problem and ensure stable network operations; Third, prevention of IP address theft. The built-in personnel data contain each user’s IP address and MAC address, so the user on each port can be identified to achieve the goal of IP management. The main contribution of this research was to provide a more convenient and lower cost network service management system, allowing network administrators to process and resolve abnormal situations at anytime and anywhere and ultimately maintain the stability of network operations.
