碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 觀光休閒事業管理研究所碩士在職專班 === 96 === The education of Tourism regards the internship as an important aspect in the curriculum, and the mission of this technological and vocational education is to nurture professionals and strengthen the cooperation between the industrial and academic field. The tourism and its relevant departments in technological and vocational system mainly establish an internship system as a principle course for students’ pre-job training, which may combine the theory with the practice. Moreover, the input resources and effectiveness in the industrial fields will affect the students’ overall image on industries and their future motivations of participation. However, the evaluation standard and method for internship performance is still under construction. In sight of this fact, this research takes the department of travel management of Four-year BA program as and example to develop a set of internship planning indicators from the view point of the academic field. Through the literature review, subject to Gibson (1998)’s Criteria of internship evaluation, with the in-depth interview, this research generates and realizes the current situation of the internship of the department of travel management; meanwhile, the dimensions and items of the internship planning indicators are drafted. By adopting a two-time modified Delphi method to proceed survey among experts, the researcher constitutes internship indicators structure for the education of tourism in the technological and vocational system. The result of this research establishes five major dimensions and twenty-six indicators which provide the department of tourism a set of objective standard for internship planning indicators. The five major dimensions are “The goal of internship”, “The establishment of the mentor aid system”, “The organization selection for internship”, “The training of interns’ attitude” and “Contract specification”. Hopefully in the future, this study can be a sample of evaluation method for the tourism and hospitality education. To monitor their administrative facet of internship through the indicators, this research can assist the colleges to know their actual position in this competitive environment, increase the internship advantages, and moreover provide the colleges some suggestions for their further internship indicators.
