In recent years, the organizations of reformatory education in Korea and Taiwan attempted to diversify, open-up and individualize correctional treatment to prevent teenage recidivist. The purpose of this study is to compare and better comprehend the current situation and the development of reformatory educational systems in both Korea and Taiwan. It also offers suggestions for improving practical reformatory education systems in both countries based on the result of this study. Comparison for both reformatory education systems were focused on the various ways of education, organizational practices, faculty situation and the society’s adaptation plan of discharged students, based on document analysis, comparative method and interviews. Data were gathered through government agencies and reformatory facilities and related thesis, periodicals, reports and newspapers from different countries. The research also utilized Websites and e-mail or phone interviews of organizations faculty. This comparative study recommends practical suggestions to update and strengthen reformatory education systems in Korea and Taiwan. 　　　　 Key Word: Reformatory Education in Korea, Reformatory Education in Taiwan
