It also refers to all knowledge about studying the secret communication in general now. The mankind using the password has had a history of thousands of years already. The purposes of using password are to protect the content of information and to prevent the non-real message recipient from getting the content of the message. Among the thesis, we first introduce classical techniques of cryptography, then some modern cryptographic techniques, and finally the-state-of-art technology of cryptography such as digital signature and applications on the identity authentication.
