The whole discourse presses close to the theme of the research, literary works from Lushi to Taipingjing, discussing the meaning of “Yin-yang” and “Wuxing” in Qin-Han ideology from sentences or chapters related to “Yin-yang” and “Wuxing” of the works. The research is mainly on the study of “Yin-yang” and “Wuxing” in Qin-Han ideology, aiming at the origination, integration and different explanations. “Yinyang” and “Wuxing” originate from ancient wise and sages’ different interpretations about the idea of “spatio-temporal;” later in Qin-Han ideology, the new term “Yuanqi” is coined to integrate these two ideas, from which we analyze out main points by means of the various interpretations on “Yin-yang” and “Wuxing in different schools. This research paper suggests that the main characteristic of Qin-Han ideology is “Yin-yang” and “Wuxing,” which combines with “Confucianism”, “Taoism” and other sects, and afterwards, it becomes a new ideological trend and theory. The formation of this new theory has a historical development, and demonstrates distinct features in Qin and Han dynasty. As a whole, a motto by Sima Qian best describes it: “ Observe the relationship of people and god; understand the formation of past and now; then to become one ideology.” and the three ideas are thus the theme of this research paper, including astronomy, calendar system, religion, worship, temperament, medical, disaster, occult and divination. In the research paper, “Records of the Grand Historian,” “History of Han”, and “History of Post-Han” are set to be the main proposition, and the significant books are used as the dissertation, from “Guanzi (writings of Master Guan)”, “Lushi Chunqiu”, “Huainanzi”, “Chunqiu Fanlu”, “Huangdi Neijing”, “Jingshyizhuan”, “Taixuan”, “Qianzaodu”, “Baihu Tongyi” and “Taipingjing” as each chapter, discussed in sequence in “the text”, and “the dictum” of this paper, which in total is about three hundred thousand words. In the content, discourse of it may not be as incisive as masterpiece after all, but it is indeed the expressions of opinion direct to the theme from depth.
