| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 日本語文學系 === 96 === This thesis is consideration of the theater space and inquire into it's features and meanings of the Tanizaki work centering on `TATOO`, `YOUTH`, `SECRET`, `DEVILⅠ`, `DEVILⅡ` of Zunichiro Tanizaki. To consider the theater space, at first there is necessary to make clear what it is. According to the definition, inspect the features of the theater space and it's manifestation of these five novels.
The theater space describing in this five works is almost presented with the Japanese buildings at the dynasty of Edo(equal to 1603 to 1868 A.D). For example, the Edo's Japanese mansion describing in`TATOO` and mention in the `YOUTH` of the Edo's building . On the other side, this five works are written in 1907 to 1917 A.D, but all things happened at that period are neglected, or even presented by satirizing in these works. In order to make clear what happened at that period, the study is according to Tanizaki's environment background and how Tanizaki thinks about that period.
In addition to this, this thesis also analyzes the Edo's kusazosi, kosyapon and the paintings of Europe at the end of 19 century to know the influence from them to the theater space.
