碩士 === 東吳大學 === 會計學系 === 96 === An enterprise has to concern many things since it survive in competitive environment. “cost reduction” is a matter that every industry would face. Inventory cost is a great part in the whole cost an enterprise has to burden; therefore, inventory management always plays an important role in decision making. When we mention to decision related to inventory, order decision is a tough problem for most of the manager. Order decision implicates a wide range of things, not only the composition of cost and character of merchandise but also the transaction ways have to be concerned. On account of the change of transaction ways, we have to concern about it to assure the decision is not lose contact with reality .permissible delay in payment is a common example. Retailers have to consider the transaction way raise by upstream-companies and character of merchandise they purchase. Determination should also be taken into account since it is inevitable. There were many scholars investigate the related topics. In this study, using economic ordering quantity model as the basic theory of ordering strategy. When ordering merchandise, the form of payment will be extended to the form of allowing delay un payment after some periods of inventory cycle, which is used to examine the influence on order decision .Both models of one and two cycles of delay in payment will be formulated in this study. Besides, determination is also take into consideration to investigate an inventory model for deteriorating items with linear trend demand under the condition of permissible delay in payments which allowing delay in payment after some periods of inventory cycles.
