To offset the impact of the increasingly liberalized and globalize insurance market, Taiwan and China financial services industry have some perfect solutions to successfully adapt to constantly changing marketplace. Along with the economy growth and market superiority rising in Mainland China, the global finance industries take the market seriously, and Taiwan is not exceptional. In April 2004, Mainland China had already allowed our country life insurance company to open the joint capital life insurance company in china. However it is an opportunity and also a challenge to Taiwan when the system and the management experience both are not mature in China insurance intermediary market. This study adopt method of case study, target with Taiwan insurance company which have already entered China financial markets of Cathay Life Insurance. Through the secondary data search and in-depth interview, we tried to find out the determinants of Taiwan insurance company entering China model. We analyzed the factors of Ownership Advantages, Location Advantages, Internalization Advantages, and generalized conclusion as below. Under this market background, findings obtained of this research as the following attempts to make some contributions to insurance company enterprises’ future investment in China: 1. at Ownership Advantages: now, in strategy of The Cathay Life Insurance, after they established headquarter in 2005, and then they keep establishing 2 to 3 major branch to all of China. They have aggresive ambitions & execusion ability to develop market in China . 2. at Location Advantages: basically, because same language, race & culture, they occupy tallent advantage & easier to know each other than foreigner. 3. in advantage of internalization, The Cathay Life Insurance cooperate with China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited for capital to develope insulation market in China, both of The Cathay Life Insurance & China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited occupied 50% stockshare that reduce the risk of potiential unsatbility
