Summary: | 碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 96 === The studies on supplier evaluation have gained a considerable attention and become a critical research in different kinds of companies. Recently, supply chain management plays more and more important role in success of a manufacturing company. It is said that one of the crucial parts capturing a competitive supply chain is success in supplier evaluation. How to determine suitable suppliers in the supply chain has become a key strategic consideration. However, the nature of these decisions usually is complex and unstructured. In general, many qualitative and quantitative factors such as: quality, price, flexibility and delivery performance must be considered to determine suitable suppliers. The purpose of this research is to suggest a fuzzy multiple criteria decision making approach to solve this problem.
In this research, both qualitative and quantitative criteria and the different importance weights among criteria are considered in the proposed model. The tradeoff concept is used to aggregate the averaged ratings and averaged importance weights. The membership functions are developed by using . Finally, the “total integral value” ranking method by Liou and Wang (1992) is applied to obtain the rank so that company can determine the most suitable supplier. A numerical example is conducted in order to test the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model and after that the research gives some comments to further researchers who want to continue this research.
