Description
Summary:碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 資訊與設計學系碩士班 === 96 === With the flourishing advances of information technology, many digital image processing softwares had been developed to be as the so-called “complex software”, where the Adobe Photoshop had become one of the indispensable professional softwares in the integration of information technology and design. Adobe Photoshop is superior to the other digital image processing softwares in that it provides a lot of functions. Hence, it will be more challenging for the Adobe Photoshop to possess a user-friendly menu interface. The purpose of this research is to discuss the menu-design problems while using the Adobe Photoshop. A concept based on mental model approach is proposed to improve the menu-design for the Adobe Photoshop. A simulated modified menu interface is designed to illustrate the effectiveness of the new menu interface. The evaluation shows that the new menu designed based on mental model approach is more user-friendly than the original one. It is expected that the Adobe Photoshop or other complex softwares could be benefited from using the menu-design approach presented in this research.
