Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系 === 96 === Although Taiwan's machinery industry encounters the deterioration of the operating environment and the intenseness of international competition, enterprises still carry on research and development and open up new markets. Ren-jye Liu (2007) mentioned the machine tool industry experienced cluster symbiosis and module symbiosis. After that, product modularity brought structural changes. The development of the open interface makes the machinery industry upgrade and transform, which is not only a trend but also a key point in central Taiwan's industrial development.
This study attempts to develop the cross-industrial framework to clarify cross-industrial characteristics through the review of diversification strategy and technology and market. This framework includes four cross-industrial types: product line extension, improved product, market-based expansion, diversification. The results showed that the machine tool makers and module-suppliers have the following cross-industrial characteristics: 1. Enterprises can enter new markets easily by improving technology or combining new technology. 2. Based on customer demand as the starting point of market-oriented, enterprises can cross the industrial gap 3. Technology is only the basis; however, organizational capacity is the key to success. 4. Enterprises should grasp the developing trend of industry and make good use of government resources.
