However, working through wireless transmission, WiMAX does not need to dig the road for wiring as the existing broadband application does. So, it serves the “Last Mile” of wirelessness. Unlike 2G and 3G wileless internet which is developed from the audio application, WiMAX is a complete machenism of IP Digital network and is the latest commercilized Broad Band Wileless connecting technology which can access with totally digitalized IP Internet. According to “The Taiwan WiMAX Development Blueprint”, issued by Executive Yuan in 2005, the Department of industrial Technology of Economic Affairs not only is in charge of promoting the development of Chipset and Key System, but also works with Industry Development Bureau Ministry of Economic Affairs M-Taiwan appliaction program jointly developing the machenism and environment of the industry. As for the development of industrial potential, WiMAX is a new wireless broadband technology, which contains various new opportunities from the hardware and software to the operation models and business applications, and with government assistance to reduce the risk, it creates many new outlets and business opportunities for Taiwanese Networking enterpreneurs. WiMAX creates the new centrial concept of wireless netwrok and will change the populace’s surfing lifestyle by bringing its superiority of intense penetration and mobility to the living industry.
