Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 材料科學與工程研究所 === 96 === In this study, the preparation of 【(Cu46Zr46Al8)100-XYX, X=0, 2, 4, 8】 metallic glass ribbons and rods were synthesized by the single roller melt-spinning method and the suction casting method. To examine the glass transition temperature(Tg) and the crystallization temperature(Tx), the sample was measured with a differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). Microstructure were examined by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and Energy dispersive spectrometers(EDS). Corrosion resistance was examined by weight loss to calculate the corrosion rate. By the X-ray diffraction pattern, ribbons are all amorphous, rods are amorphous matrix and small crystalline phase. By the thermodynamic property, ribbons’ ΔTx from 99 K to 101 K, rods’ ΔTx from 60 K to 75 K. By the corrosion resistance property, (Cu46Zr46Al8)100-XYX metallic glasses rods’ corrosion rate from 0.037-0.051 mm/yr in 1 M H2SO4, and the uniform oxide films are on the surface. Corrosion rate from 0.194-0.286 mm/yr in solution with chloride iron, and the inequality oxide films and pitting are on the surface. In H2SO4 and solution with chloride iron, (Cu46Zr46Al8)100-XYX metallic glass show better corrosion resistance than 304L stainless steel. As the results, the advisable addition of yttrium(4 at. %) was very effective in remaining high glass forming ability of Cu46Zr46Al8 metallic glass alloy and having superior corrosion resistance property.
