Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 創新設計研究所 === 96 === The current trends in consumer digital cameras are hand-held mobility and large LCD monitor for easy shooting. Unfortunately, the problem of having degenerated vision in older people must hold their cameras in certain distance away from eyes for getting an easy shot. Apparently, this causes them with more serious problem in shaking of hands and holding comfort. From the study of physiological and psychological aging problems with older people, researchers have studied and researched in many different viewfinder interfaces to improve their products with a better interface for older people. Through the practice of non-participant observation, researchers were carried out to discover problems and requirements of using digital cameras by older people. Then through experimentations, observations, and surveys to collect the usability of different viewfinder interfaces datum. Finally, gather statistics and analyze variables such as visibility, legibility, hold stability, viewing distance and subjective comfort. Research results are the following: (1) Due to the problem of having degenerated vision with older people, the visibility and legibility of viewfinder is better than LCD when taking a view. (2) Holding stability and subjective comfort of viewfinder is better than LCD when older people taking a view. (3) Older people hold above and bottom two sides of camera mostly while taking a view, so they need suitable griping design for a better hold stability.
