To comparate the job stress between class teachers and administration teachers is a few. To differentiate between elementary school class teachers and administration teachers, the study wants to explore the influence at job stress of different positions and to comparate the difference. 29 elementary schools, 410 teachers in Taoyuan county were stratified ratio sampled as study subjects where retrieved 378 valid copies. There were 243 class teachers and 135 administration teachers. Through analyzing the data, the main findings are as follows:(一)Elementary school administration teachers’ job stress was lower than class teachers’. And in substance , the position of directors’ job stress was the lowest , the high grade class teachers’ job stress was the highest. (二)After controlling the different school backgrounds and the different teachers’personal backgrounds, there was the relationship between different position and teachers’job stress . A finding from the study:the major different influence at elementary school teachers’ job stress was not from different positions but from leadership of principals. (三)There were interactive effects at teachers’job stress among school backgrounds and teachers’personal backgrounds with different positions. The interactive effects at class teachers were often only from leadership of principals , but the interactive effects at administration teachers were from more factors. Therefore Administration teachers’ job stress was more variable. Based on the results, suggestions were offered to the educational administrators and the other researchers to set educational policies and to provide consultations.
